The Month After Christmas

‘Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house Nothing would fit me, not even my denim
The cookies I’d nibbled, the eggnog I tasted, i now wish it were venom
When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
My mood was merely nothing but somber
All I could think of were the marvelous meals; the gravies and sauces
would be the cause of so many divorces, the wine and the hot cross buns; the
bread and the cheese and the way my mouth never did seize
So — away with the last of the sour cream dip, Get rid of the fruit cake
You don’t want to look like a blip
I wont have a cookie, not even a lick, I would rather hit my head with a brick
I wont have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie, These additional ounces
must go bye bye
I’m hungry, I’m lonesome, and life is treating my pocket sore But isn’t that what
January is for?
Unable to giggle, life’s not longer a riot.

Looking Into The Crystal Ball

Today I decided to give myself an online fortune telling reading just for fun. However it did not turn out quite as fun as I had expected.

It started off great and then came the unfavourable cards, negative, not so great cards which I chose to ignore.

I ended up feeling all freaked out and had this nervous, anxious feeling. I then decided that all this is a lot of rubbish, as how can technology predict what kind of future a person will lead, it only manifests into reality if you truly believe it.

Thoughts are very tangible indeed, everything we think of is projected out into the universe and can be manifested into reality. That is why it is so important to remain positive, loving and good people in this life, as what you put out is what you get back in return. Live life with integrity and no regrets and you cannot go wrong.

Putting My Best Foot Forward

Well the new year has finally dawned upon us and it is already flying by like the speed of light.

2006 will hopefully mark the start of a brand new cycle in my life as far as my career and self development is concerned. I am definitely looking to put my best foot forward and make this year a success in everything I do! Bearing in mind, that with success, will also come some failure, but I will not let that hamper my mobility and crush my spirit. Life is definitely about choices and some point or another we all hit a crossroad along the way. As wise words from my cousin and best friend: “Take time to reflect upon your life and see how the decisions made are the result of your current path.” So it is with that, that I choose to always put my best foot forward…..
